Guided journey - work with the rhythm of the drum in this 3-hour process in a shamanic journey as an access into a deeper realm

Your life story- maps and tracks your life as a personal journey as an ever-unfolding spiral in a visual, artistic format. This may require some special items brought with you, so speak with Lori Ann. This usually lasts all day.

The woven poetry of your life- this hands-on work requires that you make a simple loom and weave in who you are, who you want to become, and what you are willing to let go of to get there. Remarkable work. A long afternoon, or over a period of time if you stay a few days.

The sweat lodge ceremony is the most prevalent form of purification used by indigenous cultures in North America. Lodges come in many different forms and sizes. Our lodge at Sacred Space is made from bent willow. It is then covered with cotton canvas, and blankets placed on the inside floor, around the stone pit which holds the hot rocks. A fire is built in the east, outside the lodge, upon which the rocks are heated. The rocks are brought in a succession of times ( one to four, for the sacred elements and directions), and water is sprinkled over them. Inside the lodge, which has been smudged with white sage, sacred songs are sung, prayers are recited, spirits are invited in, and sacred intentions are spoken- all to facilitate the purification of the participants. The intensity of the heat helps those inside to bring their minds to a single point of focus and will, which aids in the purification process.

What to bring:
*two towels; one to wrap yourself in (or other light cotton garment)
*large cotton blanket and pillow (washable);for sitting on
*drum or rattle (if you have one)
* Let us know if you have any allergies or sensitivities that would effect our group ceremony
*time-frame (usually 3-8 hrs., often longer)
* we will set intentions for personal and planetary manifestation, as well as participate in a shamanic drum journey
tobacco-trap ceremony, cradling, breathwork, and what ever gifts show up to be shared.
